Vincenzo Pisacane, the agent of Inter defender Danilo D’Ambrosio, has confirmed that his client will soon sign a contract renewal with Inter.

A report emerged last night stating that Inter and D’Ambrosio have already agreed terms over a one year extension until the end of the 2021/22 season and Pisacane has explained that the renewal should arrive just shortly.

“Is it a year for consecration? All the years of being told that Danilo is in a season of consecration has busted my balls,” Pisacane began an interview with Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

“He has always shown that he is an important player. Every year he manages to carve out his space. He has the Inter shirt tattooed on him and when he loses, he loses twice, once as a player and once as a fan.

“For him Inter is special, he’s got Inter inside him.”

Pisacane was then asked about the contract renewal situation: “Will he renew? Yes. We are talking about it and I believe that the renewal for another season will happen shortly.”

He went on to conclude the interview by speaking about how Inter have started the 2020/21 season: “Inter are strong, they have a great coach. Even the Nerazzurri have suffered a bit from Covid but there is plenty of time to have a great season.”

D’Ambrosio joined Inter in the January transfer window of the 2013/14 season from fellow Italian club Torino.

The Italian national team player, who recently celebrated his 32nd birthday, has made 217 appearances across all competitions for Inter, in which he has scored 19 goals and provided 17 assists.

This season D’Ambrosio has made eight appearances across all competitions, in which he has scored two goals.
