Napoli are working on a deal to bring Chelsea wing-back Emerson Palmieri to the club according to a report from Spanish news outlet Todofichajes.com.
The Partenopei are already in talks with the player himself over a potential move to the club and they must also convince Chelsea into dealing the Brazilian born naturalised Italian player away.
Emerson is one of the Chelsea players that manager Frank Lampard is happy to discard in the upcoming January transfer window and as per this report the Premier League side would be keen to repeat the deal they carried out with Napoli for Tiemoue Bakayoko with Emerson.
The 26-year-old, who has struggled for regular game time this season, has also been heavily linked with moves to both Inter and Juventus in recent months.
This season the 12 time Italian national team player has made just five appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has failed to make any goal contributions.
