Inter striker Romelu Lukaku is likely to be rest for today’s game against Sassuolo, ahead of next week’s Champions League clash against Borussia Monchengladbach, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how coach Antonio Conte does not want to overwork the 27-year-old Belgian striker, who has recently returned from a muscle injury.

Marcelo Brozovic was set to start against the Neroverdi today, but wont after having tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday.

Ashley Young and Achraf Hakimi will also both be rested, with Ivan Perisic and Matteo Darmian coming in to start in the wing back roles.

Sassuolo are currently second in the league table after eight games, sitting two points behind league leaders AC Milan.

Probable Inter (3-5-2): Samir Handanovic; Milan Skriniar, Stefan De Vrij, Alessandro Bastoni; Matteo Darmian, Nicolo Barella, Stefano Sensi, Arturo Vidal, Ivan Perisic; Alexis Sanchez, Lautaro Martinez.
