Noted Italian football journalist Mario Sconcerti has refused to allow himself to get too carried away with Inter’s recent turnaround in form.

Inter have won each of their last their matches across all competitions and many have described these wins as a potential turning point for Antonio Conte’s side, who did not start the 2020/21 season how they were expected to.

“There is not a long way to go, we need to have confirmation,” he explained in an interview with Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb’s radio station TMW Radio, which took place a short time ago.

“Inter have grown, they score easily in the league, they also concede a few too many, it’s true. Conte continues to change the team to find the right one. It is not yet clear how it will be.”

Sconcerti then went on to discuss the role that Croatian national team player Marcelo Brozovic plays in the Inter team and admitted he is the best player available for the role in the team.

“Brozovic? He is not a natural regista, but many other teams do not have any but sitting in front of the defence he is the best in the squad.”

Sconcerti then went on to sing the praises of Inter talisman Romelu Lukaku who has been in sublime form this season with him having scored 11 goals in 12 appearances across all competitions to date: “Lukaku is also confirming himself as an incomparable centre forward.”
