Inter are already planning to extend Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku’s contract and insert an anti-competition clause, according to a report from international media outlet 90min.com earlier today.
The report details how the Milanese club want to protect the 27-year-old Belgian forward, whose current deal expires in 2024.
The Nerazzurri are planning to offer Lukaku a new contract with a clause inserted that wouldn’t allow him to be sold to rivals like Juventus or interested Premier League sides.
The former Manchester United forward is incredibly happy in Milan playing under coach Antonio Conte and has no interest in leaving.
Lukaku has made 13 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 969 minutes. In that time, he has scored 12 goals and provided two assists.
The 27-year-old missed two games this campaign due to a small muscle tear, and the Nerazzurri’s performances dipped, showing his importance and leadership to the squad.
