Inter manager Antonio Conte has confirmed that he will be without both Arturo Vidal and Nicolo Barella for tomorrow’s crucial final UEFA Champions League group stage match which comes at home to Shakhtar Donetsk.

“There is little to say. Vidal had this problem during the match against Bologna, so he is not available. As for Barella, he also will not be available,” he explained in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was broadcast a short time ago.

The former Juventus and Italian national team player was also asked about the availability of Christian Eriksen, a player who he has limited to just cameo appearances in recent matches.

“Eriksen? Christian is available, he is training. I am always looking to make choices for the good of Inter, tomorrow you will see what kind of choices I will make.”

In conclusion he spoke on the match itself and insisted that his team must win.

“We have no other option than to win, it is a bit like in the Europa League semi-final. The match will determine whether we stay in or go out, it is all or nothing.”

Inter know that they must win but winning in itself will not be enough to see Inter through. The result between Real Madrid and Borussia Monchengladbach must end in their favour in that it must not end as a draw otherwise Inter will be playing Europa League football in the New Year if they beat Shakhtar Donetsk.
