Inter manager Antonio Conte considers the belief that Inter have good squad depth to be an optical illusion according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
As per this report, Conte believes that the squad is lacking. He thinks that the midfield department is lacking in numbers and also believes that club are lacking a back-up striker to talisman Romelu Lukaku.
The report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to add that the situations of players on the sidelines of the club’s project also needs to be resolved.
Inter are understood to be looking for a swap deal or loan deal for struggling attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen, who has had a nightmare 11 month spell with the club.
Radja Nainggolan, who has struggled to get into the team this term and has been limited to just 45 minutes on the field in total, meanwhile dream of a return to Cagliari.
