Inter may agree to a loan deal from Cagliari for Belgian midfielder Radja Nainggolan in January, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews earlier today.
The report details how the 32-year-old has recovered from his muscle injury but will still not be part of coach Antonio Conte’s squad for tomorrow’s match against Spezia, showing how far on the fringes of the project he is.
Inter declined a loan offer from the Rossoblu for the former Roma man in the summer transfer window, but now may be willing to accept it as long as a buy option is attached.
The Nerazzurri would then be saving on half of Nainggolan’s wages, freeing up their budget a little in their quest for a left wing back or backup striker.
Nainggolan was previously in talks with Napoli and Torino, but neither particularly developed and a return to the Rossoblu seems like the best decision for the 32-year-old.
