Inter cannot afford to make any reinforcements in this month’s transfer window without first selling players, meaning that coach Antonio Conte make have to make do with what he has, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The report details how the club cannot afford to make large investments in the January transfer window, in part due to the ongoing global Covid-19 pandemic, and so must look to first sell unneeded players before making any signings.
Whilst a home is likely to be found for Christian Eriksen, other unneeded players may be reintegrated into the squad by Conte.
Matias Vecino will be re-joining the 51-year-old Italian coach’s set up for the match against Roma onwards, whilst Croatian winger Ivan Perisic will not leave unless a suitable offer arrives.
Italian forward Andrea Pinamonti’s fate is also unchanged, as a buyer must be found for him before he can leave.
