Inter striker Romelu Lukaku picked up a muscle injury in the Nerazzurri’s exciting 6-2 win over Crotone earlier today, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia earlier today.

The report details how the 27-year-old Belgian striker, who is contracted to the Milanese club until 2024, was forced off the pitch in the 75th minute, only 11 minutes after scoring Inter’s fourth goal.

The former Manchester United man suffered an injury to his right thigh muscle, and he will undergo medical tests over the next few hours to determine the extent of the problem.

Lukaku missed two games earlier this campaign due to a tear in his abductor muscle, and his absence was heavily felt by the squad.

The 27-year-old Belgian has made 19 appearances across all competitions so far this season, scoring 16 goals and providing three assists in the process.

Inter are now top of the league table, although AC Milan can retake their spot with a win over Benevento this evening.
