Former Inter captain Beppe Bergomi discussed the Nerazzurri’s impressive 6-2 win over Crotone earlier today whilst speaking with Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia.
“Inter in the second half always manage to win. Solid team, doesn’t lose focus like other teams. They rely on attacking players and on Hakimi, who started very well.
“They need to find solidity which they do not always seem to have. If they find the right balance, Conte is right that they can aim for the Scudetto.”
Inter’s important 6-2 win over the Calabrian side this afternoon is the Milanese club’s eighth consecutive win in the league, helping them overcome their slightly poor start to the season.
Antonio Conte’s side are now top of the league table after 15 games, sitting on 36 points. Rivals AC Milan can retake their spot at the top with a win over newly promoted Benevento this evening.
Inter’s next game in the league is against Sampdoria next week on Wednesday, before they face Roma on Sunday afternoon.
Due to the precarious financial situation of the Nerazzurri currently, the team are unlikely to make any large investments in this month’s transfer window, and first must find a new home for unneeded Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen.
Other players, like Matias Vecino and Ivan Perisic, are likely remain with the team until the end of the season.
