Inter and Chilean national team central midfielder Arturo Vidal is lacking match fitness according to Italian media reports.

As per a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport, the lack of a proper pre-season is hampering Vidal in his early days with Inter which have proved thoroughly disappointing.

Vidal only arrived at Inter a week before the season began having barely had a chance to rest between the end of last season and the beginning of this one and on several occasions already during his time with Inter, his poor condition has let him down and this was especially the case yesterday in Inter’s 6-2 win over Crotone.

The report goes on to highlight that Vidal managed to score 48 goals with Juventus, 22 with Bayern Munich and 11 with Barcelona, eight of which came last season, but he has failed to score any for Inter in 17 games.

The Milan-based news outlet go on to conclude their report by suggesting that Vidal could be like a new signing for Inter once he finds the right fitness.
