Alexis Sanchez is favourite to start for Inter over Ivan Perisic in tomorrow afternoon’s Serie A match at Sampdoria, according to a report from an Italian broadcaster.

Romelu Lukaku will not start the match at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris as he recovers from a thigh injury, which tests on Tuesday morning confirmed was not serious.

As per Sky Sport Italia, Sanchez is likely to be given the nod to start by head coach Antonio Conte, despite not featuring in Sunday’s win over Crotone.

Perisic was thought to be favourite earlier today but Conte is believed to be reconsidering his options after overseeing training today.

The report goes on to add that after a lacklustre performance versus Giovanni Stroppa’s side, Arturo Vidal will be replaced in the starting line-up by Roberto Gagliardini.

Stefano Sensi has featured a lot off the bench lately but Sky said he still does not quite have a full 90 minutes in his legs, albeit he will certainly be useful during the match.

Inter’s probable starting line-up (3-5-2): Handanovic; Skriniar, De Vrij, Bastoni; Hakimi, Barella, Brozovic, Gagliardini, Young; Sanchez, Martinez.
