Former Inter striker Eder is keen on a return to Serie A in January, a member of his entourage confirmed tonight.

The Nerazzurri are looking for a fourth-choice striker in this month’s transfer window with Andrea Pinamonti expected to leave on loan.

The 34-year-old, who scored 14 goals in 86 appearances for Inter between 2016 and 2018, was linked with a return to Inter by transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio last night.

Speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss, Fausto Pari confirmed: “Eder wants to return to Italy, but I don’t know about him going to Inter.”

Inter have also been linked in recent weeks with a move for Hellas Verona midfielder Mattia Zaccagni, another represented in part by Pari.

“He’s doing very well and it’s normal he is attracting interest from big clubs in Serie A,” Pari said of the 25-year-old.

“Last season was his breakthrough year and he is confirming all his talent this season.

“His target is to develop further with Verona and perhaps play in European competition as soon as possible.”

Zaccagni has scored four goals and provided four assists for Ivan Juric’s side this season, who lie 8th in Serie A after 15 games.

Inter are thought to have no chance of signing a midfielder in January anyway until they offload Christian Eriksen, who does not appear close to leaving at present.
