Christian Eriksen and striker Andrea Pinamonti are likely to remain with Inter beyond January, according to an Italian media report today.
Both players have been heavily linked with departures during this month’s transfer window but as per Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition today, they could in fact end up remaining with the Nerazzurri, preventing the club from making signings.
Eriksen departing was practically confirmed before Christmas by chief executive Beppe Marotta but despite plenty of links to moves elsewhere, the Dane is still at Inter with no imminent exit on the horizon.
There has been no shortage of interest in Pinamonti either, with strong links to Benevento, but the 21-year-old’s €2 million annual net salary makes it difficult for Inter to find clubs who can afford him.
Following yesterday’s draw away to Roma, Antonio Conte explained that he was told by club management to not ask for any new signings this month and he stated that he accepted this and is prepared to try and win with those currently at his disposal.
