Antonio Conte will remain as Inter coach beyond the end of the current season, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin.

The 51-year-old replaced Luciano Spalletti on the bench at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in 2019 and has led to Inter to second place in Serie A at the halfway point of the season.

In an interview with the video channel of Calciomercato.it, Libero journalist Biasin insisted that there was no reason for Conte to depart Inter this season and that he retained the full backing of the club.

Biasin claimed that Conte saw the role as a long-term venture and that his project at the Biscione was far from complete, despite only staying for two years in both of his most recent roles, with Italy and Chelsea respectively.

“At the moment there is nobody at Inter who is questioning Conte,” Biasin declared. “I am not sure that he would leave at the end of the season and it is difficult to imagine a reason for him to go. Besides, I believe that this is a three year project.”

Conte, who currently has 18 months remaining on his contract, led Inter to the Europa League Final in his first season at the club but was eliminated from Europe at the Group Stage of the Champions League this term.
