Christian Eriksen is increasingly likely to stay at Inter in January, according to an Italian broadcaster’s report tonight.
As per Sky Sport Italia, the right offer for the midfielder has not arrived yet and it is for this reason that the Denmark international looks likely to stay in Milan until at least the end of the season.
In order to sell Eriksen, Inter would need an interesting offer and given it is not automatic that someone else would come in to replace him if he departed, the 28-year-old could still come in handy for Nerazzurri coach Antonio Conte in the second half of the campaign.
The former Tottenham Hotspur man has been heavily linked with a potential departure from the club, but a Danish media report today stated that Inter were not interested in loaning out Eriksen if they had to cover a significant part of his wages.
This season Eriksen has made 15 appearances across all competitions for Inter, scoring his first goal of the campaign during last night’s Milan derby win over AC Milan.
