Michael Fabbri has been appointed as the referee for Inter’s crunch match in Serie A at home to Lazio on Sunday.
The 37-year-old, who has refereed in Serie A since 2013 and been a FIFA referee since 2019, will be assisted at San Siro by Stefano Alassio and Filippo Valeriani while the fourth official duties will be carried out by Gianluca Aureliano.
Massimiliano Irrati has been appointed to take charge of VAR in Milan and he will have Sergio Ranghetti alongside him to assist.
Fabbri has refereed 12 games across all competitions this season and this match will be the second one that he referees that involves Inter.
Fabbri was the referee for Inter in their 2-1 win at home to Spezia on matchday 13 in December.
Antonio Conte’s side head into this game sitting in second place in the standings and could go to the top of the table depending on how AC Milan fare at Spezia the day before.
Conte will return to the touchline this weekend after serving a two-match ban during the wins over Benevento and Fiorentina.
