Aleksandar Kolarov has not convinced Inter and could leave the club at the end of this season, according to an Italian newspaper report today.

As per Tuttosport’s print edition, the Serbian has not impressed the Nerazzurri and the option that the club have to extend Kolarov’s contract for another season may not be used.

The 35-year-old defender joined Inter for a nominal fee from Roma last summer but has struggled for regular game time under Antonio Conte.

Kolarov featured heavily in the first few weeks of the season as Inter struggled with various defections at the back, but he has since fallen out of favour after recovering from COVID-19, playing in just two of the Nerazzurri’s last 12 league games.

The former Manchester City defender, who is naturally a full-back but has been utilised more as a centre-back in his time with the club, has provided one assist in all competitions, during Inter’s 2-2 draw against Parma on October 31.
