Arturo Vidal is hoping to make a lightning recovery for Inter following knee surgery, according to an Italian media report today.
The Chilean international underwent an operation on Friday and was expected to miss about a month, bringing him back into the fold for Inter’s match at home to Cagliari on April 11.
As per Tuttosport’s print edition, however, while this date remains plausible Vidal wants to try and recover for the match away to Bologna on April 3.
The midfielder will not take undue risks in his recovery, in any case.
Vidal and Stefano Sensi were the only two players at Appiano Gentile yesterday after Antonio Conte gave Inter’s squad the day-off, following the 2-1 win at Torino last weekend.
Sensi is available for selection again after shaking off muscular fatigue, but having had various problems of late he still needs to regain top condition.
The 25-year-old posted a short clip of himself working in the gym yesterday, a clear sign that he is looking to get back to peak fitness as soon as possible.
