Inter are on course to change the balance of power in Serie A by ending Juventus’ nine-year reign, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Corriere dello Sport’s print edition sung the praises of Antonio Conte for the job he has done this season, with Inter sat 11 points clear at the top of the table.

Inter would pull off ‘a coup d’etat’ by dethroning Juventus as Italian champions, the report argued, becoming the first team outside the Bianconeri to win the Scudetto since 2011.

The Nerazzurri went six years without qualifying for the UEFA Champions League during that same period, before eventually returning under Luciano Spalletti in 2018.

Conte has picked up more points than any other team in Serie A since his appointment as Inter’s head coach two years ago, the report highlighted.

Inter have collected 156 points in 68 games since the start of the 2019-20 season, compared to 145 for Juventus and an incredible 139 for Atalanta in third.

Lazio are 23 points adrift of Inter in that special league table, ahead of AC Milan (27 points behind), Roma (32 points behind) and Napoli (35 points behind).
