Ashley Young is not yet certain to leave Inter in the summer, according to a report in the UK today.
Reports in Italy recently had suggested the wing-back would leave the Nerazzurri at the end of the season, when his contract expired.
However, The Sun have now claimed that Inter have offered Young a one-year extension to remain at the club, albeit the 35-year-old has not made a decision on his future yet.
Young could be tempted to stay at Inter by the lure of playing Champions League football again next season, but he also has ambitions to return to his boyhood club Watford.
The former Manchester United winger has made 30 appearances for Inter during the current campaign, starting Sunday’s 1-0 win at home to Cagliari.
If Antonio Conte’s side went on to win the Scudetto this season, the report highlighted, Young would become the first English player to win Serie A since Gerry Hitchens – also with Inter – back in 1963.
