Inter are all but certain to part company with Aleksandar Kolarov at the end of the season, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Gazzetta.it said there was little sign of the Nerazzurri extending the Serbian’s contract when it expires in the summer.

Kolarov has played just 712 minutes of football for Inter since his move from Roma, split across 11 appearances, but he has played a crucial role in their Serie A title bid all the same.

Everyone at Appiano Gentile recognises the 35-year-old as a crucial figure in Inter’s dressing room, capable of saying the right words at the right moment and providing particular guidance for Alessandro Bastoni.

Kolarov has never complained about his lack of game time under Antonio Conte but he looks set to depart as a free agent all the same.

Galatasaray are interested in a deal to sign the defender, but it remains to be seen whether Kolarov would be open to a move to the Turkish Super Lig.

The Milan-based paper suggested he was more likely to prefer another club in Serie A, although they did not say who might be interested.
