Inter have named a price for anyone wishing to replace Pirelli as their shirt sponsor, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As per Il Sole 24 Ore’s print edition (via FcInter1908.it), the Nerazzurri are determined to secure ‘at least €25 million’ per season from their next deal.

Inter are not in talks with anyone to replace the Italian tyre manufacturer yet, but a few groups have expressed an interest in becoming the club’s new main shirt sponsor.

Pirelli will end their 26-year deal with Inter when their current agreement expires on June 30.

Inter’s hunt for a shirt sponsor is said to be their next priority after securing a €275 million deal from Oaktree Capital, the report added.

The other key issue on their agenda is reopening San Siro to supporters, having lost around €70 million in total between gate receipts, season tickets and corporate hospitality since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Inter have been hit harder by the pandemic by any other club in Serie A, and now the club are looking to regain the revenue COVID-19 has taken from them.

The loan from Oaktree Capital is only the beginning of that process, because the next target is to get the club’s annual turnover up to around €400 million (it was €360 million before the pandemic).

In order to achieve that, Suning will have to replace the Asian sponsorship deals which have expired and make progress on their new stadium project with AC Milan.
