Cagliari have joined the list of clubs interested in signing Belgian defender Zinho Vanheusden on loan from Inter this summer.

This according to Italian news outlet Tuttomercatoweb.com, who report that the Rossoblu have made their interest in the 21-year-old known.

Vanheusden returned to the Nerazzurri from Standard Liege, with the club having exercised a buy-back clause in the deal that saw him join Standard in 2019.

The young defender impressed in Belgium, though it is not thought that he is considered ready for the Nerazzurri first team, and the club will look to send him out on loan to gain experience at a high level, with Cagliari joining the likes of Spezia and Sassuolo in monitoring the player.

For now, the player is with the rest of the Nerazzurri squad at the pre-season training camp, but should a deal be reached with a Serie A club for the loan of the Belgian, he will depart.
