An ex-Messina and Siena player Gaetano D’Agostino has suggested that if Fiorentina were to sign Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi, they would need other players to guide him, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.
Whilst speaking to the Firenze based radio station Lady Radio, Gaetano D’Agostino suggested that Stefano Sense is not an experienced enough player to move to Fiorentina and run the midfield in the way La Viola may want.
He suggested that the experienced head of Franck Ribery has now left the club so he can no longer be of use, and Erick Pulgar and Gaetano Castrovilli do not have much more experience than Stefano Sensi, despite all being great players.
“With him there, you need other technically strong players to talk to. In the squad there is Gaetano Castrovilli who can talk to him, there was Franck Ribery but now he’s gone. I don’t see others. Erick Pulgar knows how to do the two phases discreetly and is fundamental on set pieces, he does not have the speed of thought that is needed to be a director.”
Stefano Sensi is already back with Inter doing muscle training following the injury that forced him to withdraw from Roberto Mancini’s Azzurri squad for Euro 2020.
He will miss the first friendly Inter have because it is on the day of his wedding.
