In today’s edition of Tuttosport, the possible role that Massimo Moratti will play in Erick Thohir’s new Inter was analyzed. Moratti has never wanted to be president, so much that between 2004 and 2006, he gave up his seat to the late Giacinto Facchetti. According to the newspaper, the Indonesian consortium will offer him the post of honorary president, a role that is more representative than operational. Not like Silvio Berlusconi, who is the honorary president and also the owner of the club and with more decision-making power than Moratti. It remains to be seen whether he will accept. Right now it doesn’t seem like he is totally convinced, but could accept because that way the family will remain in the club at least in the beginning.
