Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi wants to keep Chilean striker Alexis Sanchez at the club for next season.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the Nerazzurri boss wants the 32-year-old to remain in spite of his high salary.

At the moment it is thought that Sanchez is likely to stay at the Giuseppe Meazza rather than departing during the summer, with the player established alongside the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez as attacking options.

There have been questions as to the player’s fitness and availability, and of whether his salary would be too onerous for the club, though for the moment there are not thought to be any talks regarding a possible departure.

Should the Chilean remain, new head coach Simone Inzaghi will be happy, with the Italian tactician an admirer of the player, and he will be happy to have him at his disposal during the upcoming season.
