Belgian midfielder Radja Nainggolan is expected to depart Inter soon, but he will not be included as part of negotiations for Cagliari’s Nahitan Nandez.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corierre dello Sport, who report that the Nandez deal still has some ways to go before an agreement is found, whereas the Nerazzurri wish to part ways with Nainggolan in the coming days.

Nainggolan is not in the Nerazzurri’s plans for next season, and with his large salary the club have made offloading the Belgian a priority.

Talks have been ongoing with Cagliari to send the 33-year-old to the Rossoblu on a permanent basis, where he spent the second half of last season on loan, though a deal has not yet been finalized.

Meanwhile, Nandez is a target for Inter and the club have stepped up their pursuit of him recently, with players going the other way thought to be considered a possibility to make a deal for the Uruguayan happen.

However, the two operations will not be joined together, and the Nerazzurri will have to find another way to convince the Rossoblu to part ways with Nandez.
