An ex-Fiorentina and Napoli defender has tipped Inter to be front and centre of the Serie A title fight heading into the new campaign despite the arrival of some very talented coaches for 0ther teams, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by L’Interista, Alessandro Gamberini believes that Inter still have what it takes to retain their Serie A title despite the financial turmoil the club has been in and the apparent improvement of other teams in the division.

“Inter remain among the favourites to win the Scudetto, even if important figures such as Maurizio Sarri and José Mourinho have arrived who have made our championship very fascinating.”

Many in the sport believe that Inter will be weaker than last season because Simone Inzaghi will need to hope the squad gel with him and his methods very quickly, and the squad is now weaker after the departure of Achraf Hakimi.

As well as that, Juventus will likely improve under Massimiliano Allegri, and it is possible that Lazio and AS Roma will improve under Maurizio Sarri and Jose Mourinho respectively.
