Inter have extended the contract of young midfielder Lucien Agoume, and their next step is to loan him out for next season with a club in France the most likely destination.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that Ligue 1 sides Saint-Etienne, Bordeaux, and Brest are all among the clubs interested in the 19-year-old’s signature on loan.
The Nerazzurri only have paying agents’ commissions left to confirm the extension of Agoume’s contract to the end of June 2024 from 2022, with the club having no intention of letting him go on a free transfer next summer.
The next order of business will be to send him out on loan, with the priority finding a club at which he can play regularly and develop in the senior game.
Several French clubs are interested in him, and it appears that he will in all probability be playing in Ligue 1 next season.
