Wing-back Denzel Dumfries is targeting an acceleration into Inter’s starting eleven, and he is hard at work getting to peak physical condition so that he can show his best in a Nerazzurri shirt.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the 25-year-old has not yet hit his best form since his move from PSV earlier in the month, and that he has been training on his own to reach the right level.
So far Dumfries has only appeared for a few minutes off the bench in the Nerazzurri’s Serie A opener against Genoa, and he will aim to become a regular presence in the Inter game and to impact matches in the league and in Europe at a high level.
The Dutchman will not be rushed into the team and will be given time to acclimatize, especially given the interruption of being away on international duty during the break, but he is giving his all to get to full fitness for Inter.
