Ex-Inter striker Aldo Serena has recalled an amusing story from his time at Inter when he first joined the club on his Twitter page, according to a report in the Italian media.

In the tweet, Aldo Serena explains what made him settle in at the team when he first joined in 1978 for his first of two spells with the Nerazzurri.

“It was a 1978 midsummer after dinner in Appiano Gentile. First day of the retreat. I was 18 years old, I didn’t know anyone and I felt uncomfortable.

“Malik (Marini) then took up his guitar and started singing “Luci a San Siro”. I smiled, went over and broke the ice.”

Aldo Serena is one of very few players to have played for Inter, AC Milan, and Juventus all in his career. He made 51 appearances for Inter between 1978 and 1985.

He then moved on loan to Como, Bari, AC Milan, and Torino, before leaving the club permanently for the black and white Juventus.

After 51 appearances with the Bianconeri, he rejoined Inter and this time made 114 appearances, scoring 45 goals in the process.

He then ended his career back at AC Milan again with just 10 appearances and no goals between 1991 and 1993. He made 24 international appearances with Italy.
