Inter defender Alesandro Bastoni will miss tomorrow’s Serie A match against Sampdoria through a thigh strain.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that tests this morning determined that the 22-year-old is suffering from a slight strain to his left thigh.

Bastoni has been away on international duty with the Italian national side, and despite only playing one match with the Azzurri he picked up the knock which will rule him out at least for tomorrow’s Serie A return at the Marassi.

A number of potential rotations to the starting eleven have been expected for tomorrow’s match, with manager Simone Inzaghi needing to manage the fitness of players returning from the international break as the team heads into a congested period in the schedule.

It remains to be seen when Bastoni will be able to make his return into the Nerazzurri team and whether he will be able to start against Real Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday.
