Italian journalist Tony Damascelli has highlighted the way that Inter appear to be in good form and playing with confidence and vigor.

Speaking to the program La Domenisca Sportiva on Italian broadcaster Rai, the journalist praised the performances displayed by the Nerazzurri so far this season.

Simone Inzaghi’s team have had a strong start to the season, picking up three wins and a draw in Serie A while a narrow defeat against Real Madrid in the Champions League did not tell the full story of a match in which the Nerazzurri had looked the more energetic and creative team for long spells of the contest.

Damascelli believes that the Nerazzurri’s playing style deserves to be praised, and he gave a positive impression of what he has seen so far from last season’s Scudetto-winners after a summer of upheaval which saw many changes on the bench and on the pitch.

“Inter play well and look fresh,” he explained, “they are not slow and ponderous. Inzaghi has done an impressive job despite having lost two very important players in Lukaku and Hakimi.”

He went on speaking of how the Nerazzurri have followed up on last season’s accomplishments, stating that “Inter are doing well, they are polishing their title as champion of Italy.”
