When he was interviewed by Sky Sport 24 Esteban Cambiasso talked about Erick Thohir’s takeover which is coming closer and closer: “There are people who are coming in and want to invest and make Inter great. I can only do mine and do my best as always. Then any decision made by the club will be to make the club even greater just as before. I want to do my job well and I hope this can help create an even greater Inter.”

On the subject of closed arenas: “Where there is football there are insulting chants, but there is a longer statement to make regarding the closing of stadiums. Already when you’re in school and screaming and standing on a chair the teacher says to you that you’re not in the arena, therefore the feeling is that everything is allowed in the stadiums. The insulting chants against players have always existed. Everybody thinks players get worse by trying to insult them.”
