Ex-Empoli Sporting Director Pino Vitale has been discussing the Serie A title race as it begins to take shape, according to a report in the Italian media.

Whilst speaking to TMW, Pino Vitale explained that he can see Inter and AC Milan are doing very well, but warned that Juventus will come back into the picture soon.

He also explained that Lazio and AS Roma will occupy the Europa League spots this season, saying: “I see Inter and Milan are doing well, Juventus will come back though. Lazio and Roma are doing well too, they will be there for the fifth and sixth position.”

He then discussed the situation at Fiorentina with Dusan Vlahovic, who was linked to Inter in the summer. It has been announced that he will not sign a new deal with La Viola, and Pino Vitale believes this will have an effect on their season.

“Fiorentina can do well, but there is the Vlahovic case and it can have repercussions. I would keep the attacker still, I would not be fooled by the agent.

“I would train him until Saturday, then in the stands on Sunday. People can side with Commisso.”

It is not yet clear whether Inter fully sees themselves in the frame to take advantage of the Dusan Vlahovic situation at Fiorentina yet. The Nerazzurri may pursue cheaper targets like Giacomo Raspadori.
