Shakhtar Donetsk and Ukraine defender Mykola Matviyenko has praised the qualities of Inter striker Edin Dzeko who he considers to be a world-class striker.

Speaking in a press conference ahead of the World Cup qualifier between Ukraine and Bosnia and Hergovina, as reported by FCInterNews, the 25-year-old gave his thoughts on the Inter striker who he has already faced at club level this season.

Matviyenko managed to help his team stop Dzeko from getting on the scoresheet as Shakhtar played out a goalless draw with the Nerazzurri in Ukraine in the second round of the Champions League group stage.

However, this does not mean that the defender considers Dzeko to be an easy opponent, and on the contrary he anticipates a difficult battle with the Inter centre-forward.

He singled out the Inter man as a key player for the Bosnian national team in the clash in addition to praising their entire team.

“Dzeko is a world-class footballer,” Matviyenko stated, “but he is not the only dangerous player in Bosnia who has several other good players playing at a serious level.”
