Inter are set to begin negotiations over a new contract for wing-back Federico Dimarco as they look to secure his future at the club.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere dello Sport, the Nerazzurri are making a concerted effort to tie down key players to new deals and have already struck agreements with Lautaro Martinez, Alessandro Bastoni and Nicolo Barella.

With Dimarco only having 18 months remaining on his existing deal, Inter have made him a priority and are ready to reward the former Hellas Verona loanee with improved terms after breaking into the first team and a deal could be struck before the turn of the year.

Talks are not anticipated to be complicated and there is a strong will from both parties to reach a conclusion, with Dimarco keen to commit his future to Inter after graduating from the academy.

The 24-year-old has scored twice in 15 appearances for the Nerazzurri since returning in the summer and has become a prominent figure under coach Simone Inzaghi.
