Inter could bring in Lazio defender Luiz Felipe on a free transfer next summer, with the club aiming to sign the Brazilian when he is out of contract.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri have made the 24-year-old a target and that he is yet to agree on a new deal with his current club.
Felipe’s current contract is set to expire at the end of June 2022, and as of yet there still appears to be some distance between he and his club on finding a renewal.
The defender currently earns a net of €600,000 per season, and he is asking for an increase to €2.5 million net per season in order to stay on with the Biancocelesti.
The club have been unwilling to reach this amount, and the Nerazzurri are closely monitoring the player’s situation with a view to potentially bringing him in next summer when his deal runs out.
The Brazilian has already worked with Simone Inzaghi for several seasons at Lazio, and could be the player who the Nerazzurri move for given that defensive reinforcements will likely be needed given that the contracts of Aleksandar Kolarov, Andrea Ranocchia, and Danilo D’Ambrosio are all set to run out next summer.
