Inter have confirmed that both wing-back Matteo Darmian and cenral defender Andrea Ranocchia have suffered thigh injuries.

The club updated on the two players conditions on their official site, where they report that further tests are scheduled to reveal more about the pair’s recovery times.

In Darmian’s case, the 31-year-old is confirmed to have suffered a strain to the anterior rectus muscle of his left thigh during the Nerazzurri’s win over Venezia on Saturday.

The wing-back had to leave the pitch during the second half of the match after going down holding his thigh and the club have confirmed that there is an issue, although further assessment will be needed to reveal the extent of the problem.

Meanwhile, Ranocchia had been absent from the starting eleven against Venezia after having played against both Napoli and Shakhtar Donetsk, though he still made himself available in the matchday squad.

However, tests have revealed that the 33-year-old has a problem in the abductor brevis muscle of his right thigh.
