Atalanta have no intention of letting Inter-linked striker Luis Muriel leave during the January transfer window.

This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, who report that La Dei are determined to keep the Colombian in their squad despite the interest of a number of clubs.

Muriel has not seen significant playing time this season for the Bergamo-based club, and he could wish to depart next month in search of a more prominent role at a different club.

Inter are among the clubs most keenly interested in bringing the 30-year-old in as they consider reinforcing the attacking options available to head coach Simone Inzaghi.

However, Atalanta still consider Muriel to be an important part of their squad for the second half of the season and are not likely to allow him to depart.

Even with the arrival of Jeremie Boga at the club during the window, Atalanta are set to refuse any offers that come in for Muriel.
