Mazzarri Salme

Inter won today against Udinese with 3-0, a result thanks to a convincing performance and this time the team didn’t suffer in defense. Walter Mazzarri spoke with Sky after the match and was very satisfied.

“Today was one of the best games we have played considering the high level of our opponent, even against Fiorentina and Juventus we gave good performances and today we wanted to impose the game as we would have played at home. That is what I try to accomplish without being influenced, but we must improve our ball possession when we go ahead, especially when we play well it doesn’t reflect as much as it should. ”

Then Mazzarri was asked about the performances of Ricky Alvarez and Fredy Guarin to which he replied: “Fredy has an incredible talent, he knows that he has to be focused for the entire game. Sometime he loses the ball and we have to improve on that. I’m working with him on his concentration. Ricky I can only praise. He gives good performances and has a high quality in the things he does, he really does something important for the whole team, but I still say that we need to be more cynical in front of goal even if the pitch was slippery.”

“What my opinion is on Cambiasso? You see that he’s a great player, he is always in the right place, he is feeling well physically and now he started to play as in the good old days when Mourinho was on the bench. He really puts the pieces together when we are a bit off.”

Erick Thohir has spoken about the priorities in the transfer market and Mazzarri was asked if he’s spoken to Thohir about this: “There was a contact that made me realize that I respect the decisions that have been made, but I have only spoken of these matters with the President, Branca and Ausilio, maybe some of them will act as a filter between us. If you ask me, I will do as I always have done and as I have done so far with others. They are in contact with Moratti and they all speak with each other.  Now every winger is playing well, but of course it’s always best to keep on improving, sure some have had little playing time , but we’ll see in January.”
