Inter are considering their options for reinforcing their attack with Joaquin Correa, with Genoa striker Felipe Caicedo a target and loan returnee Eddie Salcedo also an option.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who also report that using Ivan Perisic in an attacking role more frequently is also a consideration.
Correa’s injury leaves the Nerazzurri with three nominal forwards in the squad, and especially given that even these three could always be absent through injury or suspension, the club want to ensure that there is adequate depth.
Caicedo is out of favour at Genoa and would be appreciated by Inter coach Simone Inzaghi with whom he worked successfully at Lazio.
Meanwhile, Salcedo has had his loan spell with Spezia cut short as he found playing time hard to come by with the Ligurian club, and the Nerazzurri have not ruled out reintegrating him into the team, according to Tuttosport.
