Italian national team head coach Roberto Mancini is aiming to see how Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi’s form is while the 26-year-old is with the national team squad.
Speaking in a press conference, as reported by FCInterNews, the Azzurri boss highlighted Sensi as a player who he is interested in evaluating while the squad is at his disposal during the international break.
Sensi received a call-up to the Azzurri squad this month despite having had very limited playing time with the Nerazzurri so far this season, a reflection of Mancini’s faith in the midfielder.
The 26-year-old is all set for a loan move to Sampdoria for the rest of the campaign, where he will hope to find his best form again with regular playing time after having had his minutes limited by injuries and the wealth of options ahead of him across the first part of the season with Inter.
Mancini stated that “The evaluations of players in the next two days will be important. Stefano is a top player with excellent qualities, he has always excelled when he has been with us and we want to see how his situation is.”
