Fiorentina could look to sign midfielder Matias Vecino from Inter before the transfer window slams shut.

This according to today’s print edition of Florence-based newspaper La Nazione, who report that La Viola are considering a swoop for the 30-year-old.

Vecino joined Inter from Fiorentina in the summer of 2017, thought at this point the Uruguayan is no longer a regular starter in the Nerazzurri’s team.

The Tuscans could look to bring Vecino back this month, especially if Erick Pulgar leaves for Galatasaray and they feel that further midfield reinforcements are necessary.

It remains to be seen whether the Nerazzurri would consider accepting an offer for Vecino, with little time left before the January transfer window closes.

It also remains to be seen whether the player would be ready to accept a move back to La Viola, and what the Tuscan club would be ready to offer to sign him this month.
