Inter will hold contract extension talks with wing-back Ivan Perisic in the next couple weeks.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri will begin the round of talks to clarify the 32-year-old’s future at the club this month.
Perisic’s current deal is set to expire at the end of June, and it is far from certain that the Croat will decide to agree to stay beyond this point, and it will largely depend on the nature of the offer that the club put forward.
The Nerazzurri still hope to be able to agree on an extension with the wing-back, but are also preparing for a possible future without him, lining up Genoa’s Andrea Cambiaso and Empoli’s Fabiano Parisi as possible replacements should he depart.
At any rate, the club will aim to clarify the situation with Perisic’s contract over the next few weeks.
