Inter defender Milan Skriniar hardly put a foot wrong as he helped his team to a clean sheet in yesterday evening’s Coppa Italia win over Roma, according to Italian media.

The 26-year-old received solid grades for his display against the Giallorossi in the player ratings from the match in Italian media across the board, as is highlighted by L’Interista.

Skriniar started the match in the centre of a three-man backline before moving over to the left to cover for Alessandro Bastoni following the latter’s ankle injury, but it made little difference to the quality of his performance.

The Slovak defender was effective in neutralizing the danger of Giallorossi centre-forward Tammy Abraham, showed confidence in defending proactively, and also made a spectacular goalline clearance on a Nicolo Zaniolo effort even if the strike proved to be offside.

L’Interista gave Skriniar a 6.5/10 score for his display, while all of TuttoMercatoWeb, the Gazzetta dello Sport, and the Corriere dello Sport felt that his performance was worthy of one better, 7/10.
