Alexis Sanchez was Inter’s key man in yesterday’s Coppa Italia win over Roma according to Italian meida, scoring the decisive goal to put the game beyond the Giallorossi.

The 33-year-old received a strong 7.5/10 grade for his display in the player ratings for the match in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who also highlighted the energetic display of Nicolo Barella.

Sanchez was entrusted with the start against the Giallorossi, and he didn’t let coach Simone Inzaghi down, popping up with a brilliant long-range effort midway through the second half to effectively put the game to bed, having also been involved in the first goal.

Apart from the Chilean, the Corriere also highlight the effectiveness of Barella’s performance in midfield, with the 25-year-old seeming to have been everywhere to help his team out in the midfield battle.

Barella received a grade of 7/10 in the Corriere’s player ratings, while the same score was also given to Edin Dzeko, Ivan Perisic, Marcelo Brozovic, Milan Skriniar, and coach Simone Inzaghi.
