Italian midfielder Nicolo Barella was voted as Inter’s best performer in a fan poll during the Coppa Italia match against AS Roma on Tuesday night, according to a report in the Italian media.
As has been reported by FCInternews, a poll that was run on their website saw Nicolo Barella come out with 39.63% of the vote. That means that 321 people voted him as the best player in the 2-0 victory.
That win over Jose Mourinho’s side sets up a two-legged semi-final against local rivals AC Milan who beat the Nerazzurri 2-1 in a Serie A match last weekend.
Nicolo Barella did not score in the game but he was involved in the majority of Inter’s best attacks. He saw a shot from distance hit the crossbar in the first few minutes and saw another saved by Rui Patricio.
Alexis Sanchez and Edin Dzeko were second and third highest as they scored Inter’s goals.
